Petition online to impeach judge Greer
Update: March 24, 2005
Today Terri is in her 6th day of dying from starvation and dehydration. I
thought in America this constituted cruel and unusual punishment. Ask yourself:
would this ever happen to a death row inmate? The truth is, every prisoner we've
ever had in this country has been treated better by the law. Animals are treated
better, and it is illegal in many states, including Florida, to starve pets in
this manner. This is a sick, disgusting act by Michael Shiavo and his
camp, who apparently own this judge Greer character. Now, even a Governor,
elected to multiple terms, is afraid of this judge. He's afraid to act on the
law and do what he knows is right, what his lawyers found legal statues for,
because this liberal, activist judge said he could not.
I'm sorry, when did judges
get the power to legislate and execute the law? I thought their role was to
judge whether the law was followed or not, then sentence accordingly. This
judge, and many other judges, are out of bounds. A single judge can not override
the execution of law by an elected governor, laws that were written by elected
representatives of the people. A judge simply does not have that authority. In
addition, the judge has disregarded the decree of the US President and Congress
to rehear the case anew, something that has NEVER been done (if I hear one more
word about "15 years of litigation going to waste" I will puke. That's 15
years of faulty litigation by the same rogue judge).
Why is Mr. Bush so afraid of
this activist judge? Will Greer throw him in jail for following the law? I would
love to see this happen. First of all, the police are supposed to work for the
executive branch of the state, i.e. the Governor, not a judges' office. The
police are out there doing the judges bidding, preventing people from giving
food/water to Terri Schiavo. Serve and protect? Whom are they serving? a rogue
activist judge. Protecting? not sure who, but it's not an innocent woman who is
being starved to death. They're out there arresting kids for God's sake! Bush
also has at his disposal the National Guard, which, if the police force turned
against him and decided that they serve judges and not the people, he could
conjure up to protect his office from such an unlawful mutiny.
When will it end? Probably
with Terri's death, and the loss of right to life by yet another class of
humans: the handicapped / disadvantaged. Remember, pre-born humans already have
no rights, thanks to activist Supreme Court judges back in the 70's. There is no
law that upholds abortion, people, simply the opinion of 5 judges. Not the will
of the people, the will of 5 rogue judges. With the Schiavo case, handicapped
people have now lost their right to live as well. An estranged adulterous
husband can have his handicapped wife put to death. Mr Schiavo: if you want to live
with another woman and have kids with her, why don't you divorce her your wife.
This is the most twisted case of our time, and shows how twisted our society has
become.

Today, a court decision will be made effectively determining whether Terri
Schiavo will live or die. Her estranged husband is fighting a legal battle to
remove a feeding tube that has sustained her since she suffered severe brain
damage 15 years ago. If the tube is removed, she will dehydrate and starve to
death in a matter of days.
This is not a vegetable whose heart cannot beat on its own. Her heart and
respiratory system function fine, and the woman even speaks occasionally. Her
documented vocabulary appears below, where she asks her mommy to help her from
the people trying to kill her. The woman has brain damage and a disability where
she is basically paralyzed and can not feed herself. It may not seem like much
of a life to us, but who are we to judge? The judge that ruled they can remove
the feeding tube apparently thinks he has the right to determine whether she
wants to live her life or not. To me, it looks like the woman takes comfort in
her family and her family has stated that they want her to live and take care of
her.
Schiavo’s estranged husband is eager to pull the tube. There is reason to
believe that if she does regain her speaking ability then she may spill
information about her husband’s involvement in the accident that led to her
current condition. He was given thousands of dollars to spend on her speech
therapy and spent it elsewhere. It is clear he does not want her to speak, and
in fact does not want her to live. He will not grant her dissolution either,
which gives her family the rights to her life, even though he started another
family and clearly does not care about her anymore.
We’ve already lost the fight against the abortion holocaust for 30 years. Now a
new class of humans is in danger: those with disabilities that (like babies)
can’t speak for themselves. Liberal activist judges would like to classify their
lives as worthless and put them under the ground without any representation. We
can’t let the right to life continue to be taken away from our country’s
defenseless citizens by unelected rogue judges that don’t speak for the moral
majority in America. I recommend praying for Ms. Schiavo to regain her ability
to speak clearly for herself, and for judges to not be allowed to set this
dangerous precedent in killing her. In addition this is supposedly the email for
the judge in her case: ggreer@co.pinellas.fl.us
Testimony of Terri’s Speaking and cognitive abilities:
Witness: Nurse Heidi Law
* mommy
* momma
* help me
Witness: Nurse Carla Sauerlyer
* pay (meaning "pain" when she was in discomfort)
* Haaaiii (meaning "Hi" in response to "Hi Terri")
* mommy
* help me ("Help me was, in fact, one of her more frequent utterances. I heard
her say it hundreds of times."
Terri's Mediplex records:
* stop (in reference to one medical procedure being done on her)
Terri's family members:
* ugh-hugh (meaning yes)
* ugh-ugh (meaning no)
* yea ('yea' was a word she reportedly first re-learned to speak in 2002.)
* No
All this, despite being refused any rehabilitative services, such as speech
therapy.
In stunning testimony, one nurse, Heidi Law, a certified nursing assistant who
took care of Terri when she was at Palm Gardens Nursing Home in Largo, Florida,
in 1997, said that the severely disabled woman formed words such as "mommy,
"momma," and most hauntingly, "help me."
"While it is true that those patients will flinch or make sounds occasionally,
they don't do it as a reaction to someone on a constant basis who is taking care
of them, the way I saw Terri do," claimed Law in a formal deposition. "I
witnessed a priest visiting Terri a couple of times. Terri would become quiet
when he prayed with her. She couldn't bow her head because of her stiff neck,
but she would still try. During the prayer, she would keep her eyes closed,
opening them afterward. She laughed at jokes he told her. I definitely know that
Terri 'is in there.'"
The testimony, contained in affidavits provided to Spirit Daily by her family,
the Schindlers, who are desperately attempting to prevent her death, contradicts
widespread perceptions that Terri is a nearly brain-dead or comatose woman
living in a vegetative state. In fact, by some indications the woman may have
greatly improved had she been provided adequate therapy.
Her parents have pleaded with him to grant her a divorce. They have agreed to
sign legal documents that would keep them from receiving one penny of Terri's
malpractice award, any insurance or anything else he has access to, if he would
only give them custody of her and let them care for her.
